Frank Cörvers (1966) is leader of the Dynamics of the Labour Market research programme at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA), Maastricht University. He studied general economics at the universities of Maastricht and Hanover. In 1991 he graduated on the relationship between corporatism and economic performance at the Maastricht University. Subsequently he was employed as a lecturer at the economics faculty of the Maastricht University and as a researcher at ROA. From 1998 till 2000 he worked at Statistics Netherlands in Heerlen, first as a project leader in the Commercial Services sector and later as task group manager of the Income Information System. In 1999 he obtained his doctorate on ‘The Impact of Human Capital on International Competitiveness and Trade Performance of Manufacturing Sectors’ at the Maastricht University. His research interests include regional labour markets, ageing, human capital and international competitiveness, and labour market forecasting.
