Jan Feld is a PhD candidate at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA), Maastricht University. He holds a Bachelor degree in International Management from the University of Flensburg and a Master degree in Behavioral Economics from Maastricht University. His research interest concerns the economic implications of optimism. Optimists expect good things to happen to them and this might influence a wide variety of economically relevant outcomes. He currently researches whether optimists are more willing to participate in job training. Further, he investigates whether optimism increases the productivity of call center sales agents.
