Didier Fouarge studied economics at the Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix (FUNDP) in Namur, Belgium. He holds a PhD from Tilburg University on the topic of poverty dynamics and social policy in Europe. From 1999 to 2007 he was researcher at the Institute for Labour Studies (OSA) and post-doc at Tilburg University. Since November 2007, he is researcher at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA), Maastricht University. His main research interests lie in scientific and applied research on labour market and income dynamics, working time, retirement, income distribution and poverty, and the welfare state.
