Maria Zumbühl is PhD-student at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA), Maastricht University. She holds a Master of Science in Economics from University of Bern where she graduated in spring 2010. In her Bachelor she was studying economics and political sciences.

Her main research interests are in labour economics, economics of education and health. Her current research focuses on intergenerational transmission of attitudes and personality traits.
